H1N1 (Swine Flu) Prevention

H1N1 VirusWe are quickly approaching what will be an uncertain and unusual flu season because there are two types of flu: the regular (or seasonal) flu, and the H1N1 (swine) flu, a new virus that has caused so much concern since last April.

Because the H1N1 virus is new and there is little immunity, the H1N1 flu will likely cause increased illness this fall in addition to the seasonal flu.

Many of our students and employees are concerned and have questions about the coming flu season and vaccines. While much is still unknown, we hope this website provides you with more information to help protect yourself, your family and your community from both the H1N1 and regular seasonal flu.
