Due to budget cuts, we recently cancelled our subscription to Gale’s Literature Resource Center. In our decision making process, we found that our two research databases—Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) and Research Library (ProQuest)—contained many of the same journals and articles as LRC. This workshop will present a demonstration of ways instructors can use Academic Search Premier and/or Research Library.

This workshop will provide an overview of the Board approved part-time faculty hiring policy, including recruitment plans, job announcements, screening, equivalencies, interviewing, pool review, and the final hiring decision for part-time faculty. Faculty who will be involved in any aspect of part-time hiring must attend this workshop. Those who have attended this workshop in the past year need not attend. Having attended the full-time hiring workshops does not satisfy this requirement for part-time hiring. Faculty must attend the part-time hiring workshop every three (3) years to participate in part-time hiring.
